July 2006:
BARTOLOMEI PUCCIARELLI, LLC ACCELERATES GROWTH WITH NEW ACQUISITION
Bartolomei Pucciarelli, LLC has acquired the longstanding practice
of Sharon Lamont, CPA, a prominent industry
leader and past president of the NJ Society of
Certified Public Accountants. As the firm’s
second acquisition in two years, the recently
completed transaction expands Bartolomei
Pucciarelli’s regional presence while
representing a strong pattern of strategic
growth
“The acquisition sustains the aggressive growth rate we achieved
last year, which was approximately 30 percent,”
stated James E. Bartolomei, CPA, Managing
Partner. The firm was recently ranked among the
nation’s fastest growing accounting firms by
Public Accounting Report (PAR), a newsletter
published for the accounting profession, and was
also named the 2005 leading provider of
management consulting services among its peers
(U.S. firms in the $1 million to $9.9 million
annual revenue category).
“Sharon Lamont’s practice increased our client base in Mercer
County and the scope of service available to her
customers,” remarked Mr. Bartolomei. In addition
to tax and auditing support, Bartolomei
Pucciarelli offers a continuum of broader
business solutions designed to enhance
performance, efficiency and profitability. As
one of only six New Jersey affiliates of RAN
ONE, a global network of independent accountants
specializing in small and mid-sized businesses,
Bartolomei Pucciarelli is uniquely qualified to
counsel clients on all aspects of holistic
development, including risk management,
information technologies, customer service and
other key strategies.
Sharon Lamont, now the Chief Financial Officer of Roma Bank,
selected Bartolomei Pucciarelli to acquire her
practice based on its reputation for quality and
its proven record of success. “I felt their
size, depth and experience would allow them to
handle the needs of my clients while still
providing a high level of personalized service,”
said Ms. Lamont. “I also knew they had done this
well before... purchased smaller CPA firms with
a smooth transition.”
As Bartolomei Pucciarelli marks its 20th
anniversary this year, the firm will continue to
grow strategically by pursuing other mergers and
acquisitions while augmenting its competencies
and specialties.
